I have no pictures to share yet but I will let you know that the Beebe babies- AKA the miracle babies- said good bye to their amazing foster mamas on Thursday and are on their way to their new homes! Their story is so inspiring- noone gave them much chance to survive, but with care and love they have not just survived, but flourished, and have amazing lives ahead.

The Beebe babies are now 8 weeks old, and weigh between 12-14 lbs! They are going to be BIG! And they are absolutely perfect- healthy, beautiful, frisky and loving. Their foster moms are excited but also somewhat sad at the prospect that they'll soon be leaving.

We would like to also congratulate the new parents. Ariel's new mom is Ann-Marie, Sebastian's new dad is Nick, Bear's new dad is Zach and Bessie's new mom is Becca. We are so happy for everyone!

And the babies daddy is probably the milkman! They really don't look alike, except for their lovely green eyes and happy dispositions. The day is coming soon when they will meet their new families!

Look at this pile of love and sweetness! The babies foster mom reports that they love the cooler weather, and are even more frisky and fun. After a long after noon of galloping, wrestling, and scampering, the babies settle in for a long nap- with dreams of their new families.

The Beebe babies had their six month check up today and wow, are they growing! Little Ariel with her bottle is 8.4 lbs, tan and white Bessie and brindled Bear ate 9.5 lbs, and handsome black and tan Sebastian is 10.5 lbs. Hard to believe that 6 weeks ago these babies were so tiny and frail- their survival is entirely due to the devotion and care of their wonderful foster moms. They are happy, healthy babies now, and all have been adopted! four lucky families are soon going to welcome them, and give them the lives that they deserve.

It's getting harder and harder to take pictures of the Beebe babies! They are so frisky, healthy, happy and active and seem just like every other puppy in the world- it is SO hard to believe that just 5 weeks ago they were literally clinging to life, orphaned at just a few days old.  When they wear themselves out they just collapse and snore for a while, even with their heads in a food bowl like handsome Sebastian did today. He is a gorgeous boy, beautifully marked, with the softest fur.

Look how big he is! At 5 weeks old the babies are making HUGE strides- especially with potty training. They are ALL going outside, with some accidents on puppy pads, but they are getting the picture about where to pee and poop very quickly. Their days are spent playing and snuggling, and no longer need the bottle- but still love the comfort of a bottle feeding. And the BEST news- the girls have ben adopted! Sebastian and Bear have some interested potential adopters, but nothing definite.....we know the perfect homes will be found for the boys, and some lucky families will love these boys forever.

So much has changed in the last 4 weeks! The Beebe babies have grown from tiny squirming balls of fur, struggling to survive, to happy, healthy puppies. Their personalities are developing and starting to shine- the boys, Bear and Sebastian, want to play, play play- Bessie is calm and laid back, and Ariel is the explorer. with paws the size of silver dollars they are able to walk further than before, and 2 of the 4, Bessie and Bear have been totally weaned from the bottle! These babies are so resilient, and so, so special.

The Beebe babies are becoming so curious, exploring every square inch of the house and yard. Like all puppies, life is a grand adventure, and every little thing is interesting. They are all eating and eating, and growing and growing....and love to give and get kisses!

Kids and puppies! Who can resist....these babies get more adorable every day, and are growing and growing. Their paws are now about the size of quarters, and they scamper and play just as often as they can. As far as how big they will get eventually your guess is as good as mine! As mastiff mixes, I can assure you that they'll never be tucked under a movie star's arm, but I really can't predict just how big they will get. Given their healthy appetites- eating about 8 oz of gruel with a bottle chaser 3-4 times a day- I expect that they will continue to grow like weeds! As you can see, they love to eat, and like any normal puppy, don't mind making a mess.....

It's play, play play! That's what puppies do best, and the Beebe babies are no exception....Sebastian is now the big boy in the group- and he and his sister Ariel just love each other, and take every opportunity possible to play and enjoy eachother's company.
We should all be more like our dogs!

The Beebe babies continue to grow! another milestone today for Sebastian and Ariel- TEETH! starting to poke through their little gums....and Bessie and Bear officially have they puppy legs and are full of energy, running around, wrestling and mouthing each other. We suspect that they will be fully weaned from bottle feedings within a week as they are loving their gruel, and eating like champs. Their foster moms are loving the cuddles and love....their is nothing sweeter and softer than a cuddly puppy!

So much good news today! The babies are 23 days old, and growing like weeds- Bear is the big boy at almost 5 lbs, and Ariel is the smallest at almost 3 lbs. The four of them fit nicely into a 7"square box when they were rescued at 2 days old- 3 weeks later, the same box will barely hold one of them. They are eating, drinking and especially playing and cuddling with each other, 4 sweet little bundles of furry joy.And the best news is that Bear- paws crossed- may have a forever home! Their first meal!!!! These precious babies enjoyed some solid food today for the first time, as a sweet little family. They are just adorable!

Look at these precious babies! Ariel and Sebastian....both are being fostered together and have made such progress- today Sebastian wagged his little tail to show he was happy, and Ariel was held and burped like a baby, then was looking for more to eat! It's such a story of strength and survival, and it's amazing to see how sweet, gentle and perfect they are.

MEET THE BEEBE BABIES! These little darlings have had a rough, rough start in their short lives. Born in a shelter just 14 days ago to a mother who died shortly after their birth, they were rescued by two kind, loving women who are determined to give them the nurturing that they so desperately need to survive.

The light fawn and white one is Bessie, the brown and black boy is named Sebastian, the sable colored one is a boy named Bear and Ariel is the chestnut colored one. All are real fighters! They have soft, silky fur, are eating like champs and gaining weight, and seem to hear each other's cries. They need love, care and prayers right now, as they have been orphaned so early in their lives. Stay tuned for reports of their progress!
